18.01.17 – Open Space / Work, Health and Disability

Open Space / Green Paper Consultation

Wednesday 18 January 2017, 2pm – 5pm

Friend’s Meeting House, Ship Street, Brighton, BN1 1AF

We held an Open Space discussion workshop for all disabled people and their carers to raise any issues they would like to see discussed at future meetings, from access to services and getting out and about to wanting to hear from specific speakers and service providers.

During the second half of the meet-up, we looked into the new Green Paper on work, health and disability from the government, gathering views on whether the paper is supportive enough to help more disabled people find and maintain employment, and whether there are any suggestions we can give to the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) on how to improve it.
